About

The Terroir

We craft small-lot Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a benchland vineyard tucked along Metz Road in the Salinas Valley. Bound by the rugged terrain of Pinnacles National Forrest to the east and the rolling fog of Monterey Bay to the north, Riverview Vineyard gives us just 16 barrels of wine each vintage. The site—carved over millennia by ancient granitic soils, marine fog and powerful winds—evokes the coveted terroir of Burgundy.
